Parks and play areas recommended by Tiddlywinks families:

Stratford Park - Good play equipment, lake where you can feed the ducks, great for picnics and playing amongst the trees.
In the summer, on Sunday afternoons, there are bands playing at the bandstand and on some Sundays there is a ride-on miniature railway (for a small charge).

Daisy Bank - Horns Rd., near the cemetery in Stroud. A popular park and play area.

Chalford Bottom  - lovely stream for paddling.

Chalford Hill/France Lynch - good little jungle gym

Summer Crescent, Summer Street,Stroud - recently refurbished with lovely wooden play equipment

The Commons - Minchinhampton, Rodborough and Selsley Commons are great spaces for walking, kite-flying, picnics, ball games and of course, eating ice-cream!  (Winstones Ice-cream factory) Also try Painswick Beacon and Haresfield Beacon for walking - though probably not for pushchairs!

Coaley Peak (4 mile SW of Stroud on B4066) 12 acres of grassland with panoramic views of Severn Vale. Car Park and Toilets
